Long-life oils for VW
Many newer VW models are equipped with a so-called Long-life service. This enables longer oil change intervals and is particularly practical for frequent drivers. The oil then does not have to be changed every 15,000 kilometres, but can be driven up to 30,000 kilometres. If you have a car with Long-life service, the board computer calculates the next oil change interval for you. Special engine oils are developed for this purpose, which should also be used accordingly. The VW standards 504 00, 507 00, 508 00 and 509 00 meet the requirements for cars with engines that support a Long-life service.
